Following the announcement of the Government's Affordable Homes Programme in which an estimated £1.8billion of funds will be made available, DMH Stallard is covering the key issues that successful bidders should consider. There will be an expectation that providers will deliver projects on time and within their allocated budgets, and bidders should consider to ensure that they can meet the terms of their funding contracts. This week, our team provide an update on the Localism Bill and focus on the progress made in relation to planning and housing since the Bill completed the Committee Stage in the House of Lords in July.
In particular, we examine the most significant amendment to the Bill that enables local planning authorities to have regard to government funding (primarily the New Homes Bonus) or the Community Infrastructure Levy when considering planning applications.
Full details of our update are available on our website. DMH Stallard is one of the leading providers of legal services to the public sector in the UK.
