| Summer is here and once again Germany have dumped us out of the World Cup. While the disallowed goal would probably not have changed the result, as we blogged (more on this below), the FIFA president has agreed to at least re-examine the use of goal line technology . FIFA aren’t the only ones being criticised over technology. Earlier this month EDS, now owned by HP, agreed to settle their ongoing dispute with BSkyB over a £48m software contract entered into back in 2000. The judge strongly rebuked the EDS salesman and this ultimately cost HP £315m. We summarise the outcome of the case and provide you with our top tips for drafting effective software licences. Also, we examine the impact of social networking in the workplace and how it is affecting the employment relationship, guiding you on how to deal with the issues which arise as a result of misuse of online technology by employees. Finally, our TomiLaw blog has now been up and running since February. TomiLaw focuses on Technology, Online, Media and Intellectual Property and covers a wide range of issues including software development, cloud computing, web, media, content creation and licensing and the world of fashion and in this eBulletin we have a snapshot of what we have been blogging about since the launch. Let us have your suggestions as to what we should include in the next edition of the eBulletin in September or visit the blog and keep up with the debate as it happens.
