Solicitor, Commercial, Gatwick

We are looking for a Solicitor to join our Commercial Team within the Corporate Group. The role is purely non-contentious. We need a Solicitor to take on a wide variety of contract work to support the continued development of the practice.

The role is highly varied including software licensing, IT procurement, internet and ecommerce issues, terms of sale and supply, distribution/agency, IP advice, media agreements, sponsorship agreements, data protection, competition law and general commercial contracts for both commercial and local authority clients.  It is anticipated that this individual will undertake a significant amount of commercial contract work for a key public sector client.

The individual will also work closely with the Group’s corporate practice when necessary and will be responsible for managing transaction due diligence, and will be involved in, for example, joint venture arrangements, shareholder agreements, company formations and partnerships.

Good experience of general commercial and IT contracts is necessary. We are ideally seeking someone with the skills and experience of 1 to 4 PQE, although may consider someone with more experience. Experience of contracts in the public sector would be an advantage, but is not essential.
