The welfare and happiness of older and vulnerable people often involves an understanding of the complex legal issues relating to trusts, mental health and social care, and may require family and friends to take difficult decisions with little advance warning.
We work closely with families and carers to plan ahead and ensure that the pressures and additional stresses of looking after the individuals’ finances are removed.
If, however, events are sudden and unexpected and advance planning is not possible, we will work with the family and friends of the person concerned and the Court of Protection to make sure the necessary care and financial arrangements are put in place.
Our areas of expertise include:
- Powers of Attorney
- The formation and administration of trusts
- Management of affairs
- Court of Protection and Deputyship
- Tax and Estate planning
- Wills
