Whilst we all want to make our own decisions for as long as possible, this is not always possible due to old age, illness or injury. In the unfortunate event that someone you know becomes unable to deal with their own affairs our specialist team can help you apply to the Court of Protection to be appointed as a deputy. Partners in our Court of Protection team act as deputies and attorneys in their own right and we can help anyone already appointed by the Court.
Our services include:
- Preparing Powers of Attorney
- Registering Powers of Attorney
- Advising Attorneys
- Assisting elderly clients and those acting for them
- Making applications to the Court of Protection for the appointment of deputies
- Acting as or for deputies
- Managing the property and affairs of those lacking capacity
- Making applications to the Court of Protection for statutory wills, gifts and trusts
