Care of children

One of the most unfortunate side effects of any relationship breakdown is the questions and difficult decisions that arise about what happens with your children whilst you go through a separation. In many cases, it is difficult to agree the next steps going forward with your spouse. With many years of experience in resolving these difficulties, our team are on hand to act with the best possible interests of your children in mind.

The care of children is often one of the biggest issues facing parents who separate. Our team of specialist lawyers always look to achieve results outside of the often stressful and costly courtroom environment, through encouraging discussion and negotiation between the parties involved.

Unfortunately, when complications arise , for example one parent wanting to take children to live abroad, when a decision cannot be made between the two parties, the parent may require help from the courts. Disagreements about financial or other arrangements that affect your children, and issues about their care and wellbeing may also mean that help from the court is required.

The DMH Stallard team can help you throughout any stages required. If an application to the Court is necessary we can prepare the necessary paperwork to make the application and act for you throughout the Court process. We can also help you appoint Guardian’s for your children in the event of your death.
