At DMH Stallard, we value and take pride in being a socially responsible law firm and ensuring that we work in a highly ethical and professional way. Our clients want a law firm they can have faith in, and we are committed to delivering just that.

Supporting charities and the community

Each year the firm supports a main charity, which this year is Albion in the Community. Our social committee organise regular fundraising events in aid of both our charity of the year and also other local and national charities. We take part in national events such as Macmillan Coffee Morning and Children in Need.

DMH Stallard has entered into a corporate partnership with IntoUniversity, a charity working to tackle underachievement and social exclusion in young people from deprived backgrounds. DMH Stallard staff volunteer their time to help inspire young people to think about their future careers through presentations, mentoring and specially designed workshops.

Our enthusiastic staff also take part in a number of events throughout the year, including the Crawlathon, Brighton Legal Walk, London Legal Walk and more.

Our pro bono work

We understand that the most useful contribution we can make to the community is to use our legal expertise to assist people and organisations that could not otherwise access legal services. We look for opportunities to carry out appropriate pro bono work wherever we can.

In fact the majority of the Management Team started as trainees with us so we believe it is our duty as an employer to encourage and assist our staff to achieve their full potential, whether they are a lawyer, planner, or a member of our support team. We are accredited by Investor in People which means we have been recognised for this.

Minimising environmental impact

DMH Stallard is committed to minimising the impact of our business on the environment.  We take pride in this and are continually reviewing our business practices, identifying areas for improvement and making changes where necessary.

Where possible we use electronic forms of communication to minimise the amount of paper we use. Where we can’t avoid using paper, we use suppliers who use sustainable sources and recycle nearly 80% of any waste created.

We have active recycling programmes in all of our offices.

Our London office is participating in Land Securities’ unique occupier engagement programme, in conjunction with Planet Positive. Through this programme we are saving energy, decreasing waste and recycling 80% of any waste that is created.

We encourage our staff to use public transport whenever possible and as such offer free season ticket loans for buses and trains as part of our standard benefits package. We also offer the Cycle to Work scheme to our employees.‚Äč
