Full time, 9.15am to 5.15pm Monday to Friday

SALARY

Circa £22,000 - £25,000, dependent on experience

You will work alongside the 24 Staff in the Accounts department.

We are looking for an Accounts Assistant who will provide a high quality billing service, to include the management of WIP and disbursements, and the production of bills with compliance of SAR and VAT requirements.

 

The base office for this role is the Gatwick office and 2 to 3 days a week will be spent working from one of our other offices.

 

 

WHO AND WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The key criteria for the ideal candidate will include:  

  • Previous experience of Solicitors Accounts Rules.
  • Knowledge of bill production including fees/time, disbursements and VAT requirements.
  • Knowledge of disbursements including purchase/counsel fee ledgers.
  • Understanding of fee earner time recording.
  • Able to work as part of the revenue team, including cover for absent staff.
  • Flexible approach to work.
  • High level of numeracy.
  • Able to work to deadlines.
  • Good IT skills, including competent user of Excel.
  • Pro-active approach to resolving problems.
  • An understanding of providing a high quality service to internal clients.
  • Willing to travel to other offices at least twice a week to provide Accounts support.
