You will work alongside the Head of Client Accounts and the 11 Staff in the Client Accounts team, with the wider Accounts department consisting of over 22 staff.

We are looking for a Client Account Administration Assistant who will provide a high quality Client Accounts Service to the Gatwick office, working closer with the wider Client Accounts team and working in compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules. The role will include carrying out administration support, inclusive of preparing incoming client cheques for banking, drawing outgoing client cheques and allocating incoming accounts receipts. You will support with client matter openings and also help with team filing and any other day-to-day administration.

 

WHO AND WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The key criteria for the ideal candidate will include:  

  • Experience of working within an office environment
  • Previous experience or knowledge of accounts or data inputting would be an advantage, although full training will be provided
  • Good level of numeracy as demonstrated by GCSE Maths grade C and above or equivalent
  • Good computer literacy and skills (with experience of Microsoft Office beneficial)
  • Good attention to detail
  • Effective communication and organisational skills
  • A commitment to high levels of service and team working
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and maintain a calm attitude
  • Effective administrative skills including accurate record keeping
  • Good telephone manner and organisational skills
  • Flexible approach to work.
  • Willing to travel to other offices when required to cover for absent staff and for meetings or training.
