9.15am – 5.15pm Monday to Friday (1 hour for lunch)


Dependent on experience

You will work alongside the 9 Partners and Staff in the Real Estate Gatwick Development team, with the wider Real Estate department consisting of over 103 Staff and Partners being based in our other offices.

We are looking for a Paralegal to provide cost effective support to Solicitors, Associates, Partners and other fee-earners in the Real Estate Gatwick Development Team – primarily in relation to Plot Sales but also assisting the Acquisitions team where required. The jobholder is not designated as a matter handler for file review purposes and does not therefore have their own file caseload but will be expected to record time and will have a revenue target.



The key criteria for the ideal candidate will include: 


  • Some previous experience of conveyancing and property development work would assist but not essential as training will be given and work will be supervised.
  • Excellent organisational skills and an ability to perform calmly under pressure in a high volume deadline orientated role with a strong focus on client service and delivery.
  • Must be able to interpret instructions correctly and act upon them but also having the ability to use own initiative and take responsibility where necessary and appropriate.
  • Able to communicate effectively on the telephone with clients and other lawyers.
  • Able to work well and establish and maintain working relationships within the team and with clients.
  • Conforming to the risk management procedures as stated by the firm.
  • Competent IT skills including Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Positive attitude with a high level of personal motivation and resilience.
  • Attention to detail and producing work to high standards.
