You will work alongside the 16 Partners and Staff in the Corporate Gatwick team, with the wider Corporate department consisting of over 34 staff and Partners being based in our other offices.

We are looking for a Secretary to join our Corporate group in our Gatwick – Griffin House office.   The team deal with a range of Corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, commercial, and banking and finance work.

 

The role is to provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support primarily to one Partner within the group but also to the wider Corporate group in Gatwick as and when required. Specifically you will be responsible for diary management and producing/checking/proof-reading/amending documents. You will monitor emails in the Partner’s absence, deal with telephone enquiries and sort through the post. In addition you will carry out billing, filing and complete standard forms.

 

WHO AND WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The key criteria for the ideal candidate will include: 

  • Previous secretarial experience preferred
  • Some legal background and knowledge, or experience of Corporate, Commercial or banking work
  • Excellent IT skills with experience in Word, Axxia, Excel, PowerPoint, Email, Office Practice and Internet.  Ideally previous experience of digital dictation and a case manager system
  • Previous experience producing/amending documents is essential
  • Fast and accurate copy and audio typing skills.
  • Ability to use track changes, and/or other comparison software and excellent attention to detail essential
  • Previous diary management experience essential
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Effective administrative, communication and team working skills
  • Professional telephone manner
