Circa £20,000, dependent on experience

You will work alongside the 10 Partners and Staff in the Private Client Horsham team, with the wider Private Client department consisting of over 30 staff and Partners being based in our other offices.

We are looking for a Secretary to join our Private Client group in our Horsham office.   The team deal with a range of private client matters including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Inheritance Tax planning and Probate. The successful candidate will work with and help support the 10 Partners and Staff in the Horsham Private Client team.

 

The role will involve a variety of tasks to include general administrative tasks and support, answering the telephone, filing, printing, scanning and binding, photocopying, research, drafting correspondence, drafting simple wills, letter of wishes, trust documents, Lasting Powers of Attorney and all associated documents, assisting with simple probate administration and the preparation of Estate Accounts.  We expect the role to develop as experience allows.

The key criteria for the ideal candidate will include: 

  • Some legal background and knowledge, or experience of Private Client work desirable
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Commitment to delivering excellent client care
  • Exceptional organisation skills
  • Ability to use track changes, and/or other comparison software and excellent attention to detail essential
  • Effective administrative and team working skills.Professional telephone manner
