A quiet revolution: how April 2022’s new visa routes and sponsorship requirements will change the way employers recruit

Event date: 26 May 2022

There are a number of new / replacement UK visa routes that have recently been announced by the Government. These routes are being introduced now and will have a significant impact on employers who are trying to manage and overcome skill shortages by bringing in workers from abroad. These include:
  • The range of new ‘Global Business Mobility’ visa routes, that replace and expand the old Intra-Company transfer routes
  • New High Potential and Scale-Up routes
  • Changes to the Seasonal Workers route
  • Students moving to Graduate route visas

Adam Williams, Partner and Head of Business Immigration and Bermeet Chhokar, Senior Associate in Immigration, will discuss the complexities and opportunities that these fundamental changes to UK visa routes will provide businesses looking to employ migrant workers, as well as the practical steps that need to be taken now to adapt to the new system.
