DMH Stallard advises on the sale of UK companies as part of international US Brandywine Communications group sale

23 Sep 2019

The Brandywine Communications group manufactures technical engineering products for aviation and military purposes. Its staff of dedicated professionals, based in the US and the UK, represent 100 years of collective experience in design, manufacturing and sales of their specialist products.

DMH Stallard’s team, led by corporate partner Abigail Owen and including corporate associate Kay Miles, worked closely with the seller’s US counsel and advised the seller of the US parent company with regard to the two English subsidiary companies, in preparation for the sale of the global Brandywine Communications group.
Leading corporate lawyer, Abigail Owen, commented:

“After advising on their strategic acquisition of the two English companies back in 2015, it was a pleasure to assist seller and director, Gary Smith, on the English law aspects for the UK companies forming part of the sale of the Brandywine Communications US group to US private equity buyer, Mountain Optech. We worked closely with our client’s US lawyers, Vogt, Resnick & Sherak LLP in California (a fellow member of LEInternational), to bring the transaction together and complete the sale in a short timescale."

Gary Smith commented:

“We were delighted to work with Abigail and her team at DMH Stallard again. Their knowledge and pro-active approach steered us through the English law aspects of this transaction that was essential to get the whole deal over the line.”
