DMH Stallard heads to the Olympics in support of St Catherine’s Hospice!

21 Apr 2021

Following the success of DMH Stallard’s virtual Christmas North Pole trek, with staff covering 8,652km in just under nine weeks, the team is now setting out on a fresh challenge in support of St Catherine’s Hospice. This time the DMH Stallard staff are heading to this summer’s Olympic Games. No luxury team jet though; the team will be travelling to Tokyo under its own steam and will be running, walking, cycling and swimming every metre of the way.

The challenge started on Friday 2 April, with a goal of reaching Tokyo in time for the start of the Olympics on Friday 23 July. The challenge has been split into three legs:

Leg 1: St Catherine’s Hospice in Crawley to Rome (1,426km)
Leg 2: Rome to New Delhi (5,915km)
Leg 3: New Delhi to Tokyo (5,921km)

That means a total of 13,262km to cover in 16 weeks.

The firm has pledged to match the fundraising total, so every pound raised will count double. If you would like to make a donation to help us to reach our goal, you can do so here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/dmhs-olympians All donations large or small will be greatly appreciated.

St Catherine’s Hospice is a leading provider of hospice care in West Sussex and East Surrey, providing expert hospice care to support people living with terminal illness in their homes, at St. Catherine’s Day Hospices and on their wards.
