Home Office launches campaign to help employers prepare for visa sponsorship

30 Sep 2020

The Home Office has this week launched a campaign to help employers prepare for the introduction of the UK’s new points-based immigration system, which coincides with the end of free-movement (for EEA nationals coming to the UK and British nationals going to the EU) from 1 January 2021.

It comes out of a concern to ensure that as many employers as possible are aware of the potential need to obtain a sponsor licence, and to apply for one in a timely fashion if they do. Details can be found by clicking here.

For more information on how to prepare for the end of free movement and the new immigration system, see our business immigration team web page here or contact the team.
