Hot off the press - Government publishes Employer Toolkit for EU settlement scheme

26 Jul 2018

The Home Office has published its 'Employer Toolkit' for the EU Settlement Scheme that is to be introduced as part of the UK’s exit from the European Union.

The toolkit contains a briefing pack, leaflets and posters aimed at assisting UK employers to communicate clear and consistent messages to workers about the EU Settlement Scheme. The toolkit can be accessed here

For employers with a significant proportion of EEA nationals in their workforce, taking a proactive approach to the Settlement Scheme should form an important part of the Brexit planning process; this new toolkit should assist HR teams in achieving that objective.

The publication of the toolkit follows the Government’s publication, on 21 June 2018, of a statement of intent and draft Immigration Rules for the scheme, which is expected to go live at the end of March 2019.
