And the winner is … DMH Stallard scoops two top awards

07 Feb 2020

The corporate team at leading south east law firm DMH Stallard has collected two prestigious industry accolades. The firm has scooped the highly prized Corporate Law Firm of the Year for 2020 and Deal of the Year (over £10m) at the Insider’s South East Dealmakers Awards earlier this month (Thursday February 7).

More than 370 of the region’s top corporate professionals at the glitzy evening, heard that DMH Stallard had enjoyed a stellar 12 months, with highlights including the sale of Durbin Plc to Uniphar plc, the sale of Highworth Insurance to Aston Lark Group, and the merger of Chandlers Building Supplies with Parker Building Supplies.

Richard Pollins, Managing Partner at DMH Stallard, said: "To win one award is fantastic, but to take two top awards is an incredible feat. I am absolutely delighted that we have now been named as the Corporate Law Firm of the Year four times in eight years."

The Deal of the Year (over £10m) award highlighted DMH Stallard’s role in the merger of well-known names Chandlers Building Supplies Limited with Parker Building Supplies Limited. With combined revenues of £180 million and over 750 employees, the deal creates one of the largest independent building suppliers in the UK.

Jonathan Grant, Partner & Head of Corporate at DMH Stallard, said the Firm award reflected the strength of the team, with five regional M&A partners across Sussex and Surrey. Of the deal award he said

"Helen Mead, Partner at DMH Stallard, led the team, supported by Tom Watkins (Partner, Property) and Kate Norgett (Partner, Corporate). This award is recognition of their expertise and professionalism.

"I am immensely proud to be leading such a talented and highly regarded team."
