DMH Stallard acts for Michelin star chef in new restaurant opening

06 Feb 2017

Top 100 law firm DMH Stallard has acted for Michelin star chef Jason Atherton in his latest London restaurant opening this week (February 6).

Partner Adrian Scales, Head of the firm’s London real estate group, has acted on most of Jason’s UK restaurants with the newest addition, Hai Cenato, being launched within the NOVA complex at London’s Victoria Station on Tuesday.

Adrian, who has worked with Jason for over seven years, said:

“It’s always exciting to work with Jason and see his restaurants come to life after months of work behind-the-scenes. The research that goes into finding the right location and then the attention to detail to ensure everything is perfect for the launch is amazing to see. It’s always enjoyable working on a venture like this and I’d like to wish Jason the best of luck with this latest restaurant.”

Hai Cenato is the first Italian restaurant to be opened by Jason’s restaurant group The Social Company whose flagship restaurant Pollen Street Social in Mayfair was awarded a Michelin star within just six months of opening in 2011. Two other restaurants have since won Michelin stars and last year Jason was awarded Best Restaurateur in the GQ Food & Drink Awards.

Jason, who also has restaurants in Sydney, New York, Dubai and Japan, said: “I have worked with Adrian for over seven years in connection with most of my acquisitions in London including Hai Cenato. Adrian is an excellent pro-active real estate lawyer who is very commercial in his approach. Importantly, Adrian listens to his client’s needs and works tirelessly to get the deal done so I’d like to thank Adrian for his part in bringing Hai Cenato to life”.

DMH Stallard is one of the largest law firms in the south east and employs nearly 300 staff including over 60 partners with offices in London, Gatwick, Guildford and now Brighton. It was recently confirmed in the Top 100 law firms in the UK after reporting revenues of over £24 million and is seventh in the ranking of greatest growth in 2016.
