Surrey based Monty’s Bakehouse has been acquired in a S$48.4 million (£26.74 million) deal with SATS Ltd, Asia’s leading provider of food solutions and gateway services.

An award-winning business, Monty’s Bakehouse is recognised as one of the leading innovators of high-quality packaged food solutions for travel markets across the world. It also boasts one of the broadest airline product portfolios in the market.

Jonathan Grant, Partner and Head of Corporate at DMH Stallard, led the team advising Matt Crane (CEO) and the shareholders of Monty’s Bakehouse UK Limited.

Jonathan said:
“We were proud to support Matt Crane and his team in this high value deal for the sale of Monty’s Bakehouse UK Ltd. This move presents a platform for further growth and development, and Monty’s Bakehouse will doubtless continue to build on its reputation as an innovator of high-quality packaged foods, and a pioneer in sustainable cabin packaging and recycling.”

Monty’s Bakehouse has headquarters in Surrey and has offices in the United Arab Emirates and manufacturing sites across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Matt Crane, Chief Executive Officer of Monty’s Bakehouse, said:
“Joining a multi-billion-dollar market leader like SATS presents an exciting opportunity to accelerate the growth of Monty’s Bakehouse as well as support the growth of SATS in Asia.”
The DMH Stallard team comprised Senior Associate Sarah Quinnell, Corporate Solicitor Callum Kirk, with Jay Barnett (Commercial) and Greg Burgess (Employment).

The seller’s advisory team included Grant Thornton (led by John O’Mahony) and Quercus (led by Andy Clegg).
