DMH Stallard LLP advised The Occasional Connoisseur Limited on its entry into the UK online wine distribution market.
The Occasional Connoisseur is a new business venture specialising in the importation and distribution of exceptional wines from across the world. The company specialises in vintages and varietals that have otherwise been commercially unavailable in the UK, bringing a select range of wines direct to customers’ homes.
Abigail Owen, corporate partner, led the DMH Stallard team. Commenting on the transaction, Abigail said: “We are very pleased to have assisted Gren and his business partners on this exciting new venture and help them put in the necessary legal framework as a platform from which to operate the business and grow. Acting on this venture, adds to our expanding client base in the food and wine industry. We look forward to working with the company as it grows in the future.”
Gren Turner, MD of The Occasional Connoisseur said, ”The organisation and assistance of Abigail and her team at DMH Stallard allowed us to transform The Occasional Connoisseur from an idea between two friends into a reality. They made the sometimes complicated process of forming a company into a straightforward one, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend DMH Stallard to anyone looking to form a new venture.”
DMH Stallard worked closely with RSM UK Limited on this venture, who provided specialist tax advice. Helen Relf led RSM’s team.
