The June 2015 edition of our Banking & Finance eBulletin is now available.
In this edition, we look at a variety of international and national issues relevant to banks and other financial institutions and their customers.
De-risking and KYC issues are topical concerns. The BBA is encouraging its members toparticipate in a World Bank Survey.
The recent activities of the FMLC have involved the financial collateral regulations and also securitisation disclosure regimes in the context of an EU consultation.
There are new CDM regulations which deal with health and safety on all construction projects in Great Britain. These will be of interest to those financing all types of development, as well as their customers who are carrying them out.
We look at some topics relevant to businesses generally, starting with a consultation by HM Treasury on proposals to change the business rate system.
Finally the aspects particularly relevant to finance in the Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Act 2015 are considered. The provisions of this Act are wide ranging and are being brought into effect gradually. They deal with a variety of matters relevant to SME’s and those dealing with them (such as access to finance, corporate governance, employment, regulatory reform, public sector procurement, childcare and education).
