Leading South East law firm DMH Stallard advised the shareholders of Dubai based Getabed on its merger with Indian based RoomsXML.
Getabed has been trading since 1991 and has offices in the UK and United Arab Emirates.
RoomsXML is an online accommodation wholesaler serving travel agents and tour operators with offices in Australia, India, UAE and the US, and has been trading since 2007. The merger will give the new group a significant global reach. Both companies operate in the travel sector in the ‘hotel bed banks’ market.
Abigail Owen and John Yates, Partners at DMH Stallard, provided legal overview and support to Getabed in the UK.
Abigail said: "The intricacies of any merger, particularly involving numerous companies across different jurisdictions, always adds a further depth of multiplicity to any transaction. We are glad to have helped Getabed on this important transaction, helping them navigate through and to keep at the forefront the key objectives they wished to achieve from this venture."
Matt Stuart, CEO at Getabed, said: "Our advisers provided us with invaluable support throughout the whole transaction process. There were a number of significant points when their input was particularly crucial to ensuring a successful outcome."
Adrian Alexander led the corporate finance team at Brighton-based FRP Advisory LLP advising Getabed on this cross-border transaction.
