David is a Partner in the family & relationships
team in London. He has specialised in family law for over 35 years, having initially been well-known as a commercial litigator.
David handles complex cases of all types arising from the breakdown of a relationship. He also advises in respect of cases with an international element.
David was Chair of London Region of Resolution between 2006-2009 and is the past Chair of the Eurojuris Family Committee. He is a leading authority on pre-nuptial agreements and the reciprocal enforcement of Matrimonial Orders and has published articles on these areas in Family Law and other professional journals. He is in great demand as a lecturer and regularly presents seminars on a wide variety of family law subjects to the legal profession, including pensions and cohabitation.
David wrote the chapter on reciprocal enforcement of Maintenance Orders in the Solicitors Family Law Association publication ‘International Aspects on Family Law’.
He is regularly asked to take part in programmes on current legal topics by the media.
David has been a ranked lawyer in every edition of Chambers since 2009. In 2016 he was described as “thorough, pragmatic, empathetic and dedicated to trying to help parties reach a mediated solution”.
