Stuart specialises in UK tax and
estate planning, advising individuals and trustees. He has a particular focus on succession planning, helping clients to protect their wealth for their families or other beneficiaries.
Stuart is experienced in preparing and advising on bespoke wills, often including will trusts; he also advises on
inheritance tax planning, including business property relief and agricultural property relief.
He also has experience advising trustees in relation to the creation, re-structuring or closing of UK trusts in a tax efficient manner.
Stuart advises executors in relation to probate administration, and specialises in providing post-death succession planning to beneficiaries, including the use of deeds of variation.
He also advises clients in relation to mental incapacity, and is experienced in advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney for both property and financial affairs, and for health and welfare. He also advises families in relation to applications to the Court of Protection, where someone has already lost capacity but decisions still need to be made for them.
Stuart qualified as a solicitor in 2014.
