How our employment lawyers work

We work in partnership with clients to provide strategic advice on difficult and complex projects that deliver long-term benefits to an organisation. Our aim is to reduce risk and cost whilst supporting our clients' business strategies.

How we've helped

  • We provide support to a number of international professional service firms with off-shoring and near-shoring projects for staff groups often numbering in excess of 100.We have provided advice in relation to collective consultation issues, managed the process of settlement negotiations and agreements, and where necessary, dealt with litigation arising from these processes.
  • Advising an international household name in relation to the introduction of a new working model to be adopted in a number of European countries.
  • Advising an international technology business regarding the rationalisation of its management operations throughout Europe.
  • Advice to a US based international recruitment business in relation to data processing, and the replacement framework to the ‘Safe Harbour’ provisions.
  • We have worked with a media company advising on the process of de-recognition of the trade union, considering likely responses from the union and its members, as well as providing support on internal communication with staff.
  • We worked very closely with a London Borough to achieve an improvement so that it went from having the worst sickness record amongst the Borough group to the best. Our involvement was part of a planned strategic approach which involved policy review, training and support to managers, a co-ordinated approach to absence management cases and subsequent litigation.
