How our restructuring and insolvency lawyers work

Whether by helping you to submit and assert your claim, by engaging on your behalf with the liquidator, administrators and/or trustee in bankruptcy to get answers, or by challenging the level of other creditor claims, we can help.

Our service will be tailored to meet your precise requirements, from completing a simple proof of debt form to defending you against challenges made by a liquidator, administrator or trustee in bankruptcy.

We can attend any meeting on your behalf to put forward any matter you want the office holder or other creditors to be aware of (such as misconduct of the directors), and raise important questions at the meeting.

We will engage with the office holders in correspondence on any basis, whether to assert a landlord claim, a retention of title claim, or perhaps to help the office holder investigate alleged wrong-doing by directors.

When defending creditors who are facing a challenge for the return of monies, we will provide a swift appraisal of the claim, set a clear strategy for bringing it to a conclusion as soon as possible, and then engage with the office holder to that end.

How we've helped

We acted for a landlord owed money by a large failed sportswear company in a voluntary arrangement. We helped them to formulate their proof of debt claim for arrears and dilapidations by reference to a complex set of criteria set down by the supervisor.
