How our family lawyers work
We take a sensitive approach to matters relating to children when advising domestic and international clients on all children related matters and encourage clients to discuss or meditate disputed child arrangements wherever possible.
Where an amicable resolution cannot be reached, we will advise you as to what formal steps to take to reach resolution.
We advise in situations where one parent wishes to relocate with the children, whether within the UK or internationally, and we have solid experience of acting for international and domestic clients in child abduction cases, including Hague Convention proceedings.

How we've helped
We acted for a father resident in the United States. The father had holiday contact in the United States with the children who were resident in this jurisdiction with their mother following their divorce. The holiday contact overran and the mother made an application under the Hague Convention for their return. There had been long running difficulties with the mother not providing cooperation with regard to the children’s contact with their father. We were able to negotiate new and satisfactory contact arrangements for the father which were endorsed by the family courts in this country and the children have been able to maintain generous holiday contact with their father.
