9.15am – 5.15pm Monday to Friday (1 hour for lunch)

SALARY

Circa £22,000 - £25,000, dependent on experience

As a Float Secretary you will work across all of the groups in all of the firms offices.

DMH Stallard is a Legal 100 firm with a headcount of 305, which provides integrated legal services from offices in London, Gatwick, Guildford, Horsham and Brighton. We were awarded Corporate Law Firm of the Year by South East Dealmakers in 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2017.

We are looking for a well organised person to provide secretarial and administrative support to all groups, across all our offices, as required.  The successful candidate will either assist within the group or provide remote secretarial support from the Gatwick office.  Additionally this role will provide cover for reception, office services, other administrative roles and offer support to other Support Groups as necessary.

 

WHO AND WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The key criteria for the ideal candidate will include: 

 

  • Excellent IT skills with experience in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Email and Internet.  Ideally previous experience of digital dictation and a case manager system.
  • Previous experience of databases.
  • Fast and accurate audio and copy typing skills.
  • Ability to use track changes, and/or other comparison software as appropriate.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Effective administrative, communication, decision making and team working skills.
  • Previous knowledge and experience of legal work.
  • Reasonable level of numeracy.
  • Ability to maintain a professional and discrete attitude when dealing with issues of a sensitive and strictly confidential nature.
  • Flexibility to provide support in different groups, across all of the offices when required, with variable start and finish times on occasions.
