We are looking for a Paralegal to assist Solicitors, Associates and Partners within the Dispute Resolution TMT team, specialising in IP, IT and Telecommunications. You will be responsible for your own caseload of work (which will include multiple instructions from a specific client), and will undertake fee-earning work and time recording, ensuring a high quality service is provided to clients.  You will be based primarily in the Brighton office, but there may be a requirement to travel to the London office from time to time.


You will be the main contact for one particular client and will conduct a variety of tasks including the preparation of documents and correspondence, assisting with tasks associated with Disclosure, preparation of bundles, general administration and support and conducting research.  We would expect your role to develop as experience allows.


A strong team player with exceptional organisational skills, you will have previous legal work experience or academic knowledge and a commitment to excellent client care.  You will also:


  • Ideally have completed your LPC  
  • Ideally have previous experience of working in litigation
  • Knowledge of relevant IP legislation and the Civil Procedure Rules would be advantageous
  • Have excellent IT skills particularly using Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have excellent attention to detail
  • Have the ability to work well under pressure and be proactive

The role is full time working 9.15am to 5.15pm Monday to Friday, but candidates should be flexible in working hours dependant on operational requirements.
