Seb Jones is a Partner in the Corporate and Commercial team at DMH Stallard. He has over 15 years’ experience advising entrepreneurial businesses, growth companies and established brands on the full range of commercial law.
Seb specialises in technology agreements, IP licensing, SaaS and digital platform contracts, data protection, and complex cross-border commercial arrangements. He is known for delivering clear, practical advice that helps clients protect their interests and unlock commercial opportunity.
Before joining DMH Stallard, Seb was Partner and Head of Commercial at Thomson Snell & Passmore, where he built and led the commercial function. He also serves as General Counsel to My Eco Energy, a clean energy business, giving him a genuine understanding of the commercial realities his clients face from the inside.
Seb works primarily in our London office but also collaborates closely with colleagues in our other locations.

TECHNOLOGY LICENSING — FX SOFTWARE PLATFORM
Advising an FX trading software developer on a complex IP licensing programme for its proprietary platform, including licence agreements with a number of large US financial services corporates. Work covers licence structure, IP protection, data protection compliance, and ongoing contract management as the client’s international footprint has grown.
BRAND COLLABORATION & IP — LUXURY CHILDREN'S FASHION
Advising a leading international children’s fashion retailer on a designer collaboration and licence agreement targeting the Middle East and US markets. The bespoke agreement incorporates IP licensing, royalty structuring, exclusivity provisions and territory controls, and was designed to serve as a reusable template for future brand partnerships.
SAAS PLATFORM DOCUMENTATION — LEGAL TECHNOLOGY
Advising an early-stage legal technology company on the full suite of platform documentation for its two-sided SaaS marketplace, including terms of service and privacy policies for both user groups, drafted to comply with UK GDPR, ICO guidance and sector-specific professional standards.
