Deal secures ‘exciting future trajectory’ for regional drainage business

The corporate team at law firm DMH Stallard has advised the shareholders of Blockbusters Contracts Limited on its acquisition by London Drainage Facilities (LDF).

Based near Lewes in East Sussex, Blockbusters has become a highly regarded drainage services provider to domestic and commercial customers. Known for their reliable and responsive services, the firm’s fleet of distinctive vehicles are a regular sight across the South East.

LDF has built a strong reputation as one of the leading drainage and plumbing service providers in London and beyond. The deal reflects LDF’s regional expansion plans and is the first strategic acquisition since investment in the business by YFM Equity Partners.

Kay Miles, Corporate Senior Associate at DMH Stallard, said:

“LDF’s vision for expansion aligns perfectly with Blockbusters’ ambitions, creating a powerful presence in the sector that will drive innovation and service excellence. It was a pleasure to work with Kieran Connolly and his team, ensuring a successful deal that sets Blockbusters Contracts on an exciting future trajectory.”

From its headquarters in Essex, the acquisition strengthens LDF’s footprint in the South East and enhances its operational capacity, reinforcing the business’s position as a leading force in the drainage sector.

Kieran Connolly, owner of Blockbusters Contracts, said:

“Having invested so much of my life in building Blockbusters, I am certain we’ve found the right partner to take the business forward, and undoubtedly Kay and her colleagues at DMH Stallard have been instrumental in helping me to achieve that. Kay’s professionalism and expertise were constant throughout and I’m hugely grateful to her and the DMH Stallard team.”

The DMH Stallard team was led by Kay Miles, supported by Justine Tocher (Corporate), Kate Partridge (Corporate), Roger Yates (Property), William Walsh (Employment), Jay Barnett (Commercial) and Nitzan Cohen (Tax).
