Work highlights
Financial remedy
Instructed by a husband who had business investments which were due to take off and become lucrative. The wife lived in the family home, and so delayed proceedings to her advantage. An agreement was reached with capitalised maintenance in a sum less than the husband had previously proposed.
Post-nuptial agreement
Post-nuptial agreement instruction by parties in their 70s marrying. Both with circa £3m assets each. My client moved into the wife’s home, renting his property out, or intending to place it into trust for his children.
Children
Fourth time instruction from mother in response to father’s application for enforcement of CAO. Allegations of physical abuse of child, coercive and controlling behaviour and financial abuse. Composite fact find and final hearing. Outcome: findings of coercive control, no direct contact and costs of £12,500 ordered.
