Founded in 1989, BSL has a long-established reputation for engineering excellence. Originally serving the beer dispensing industry, the company has since expanded into sectors such as welding, laser cutting, food packaging, and more. Its equipment is trusted by global customers who require precision, reliability, and high performance in industrial gas applications.
Danos Athanasi, Corporate Partner at DMH Stallard, acted for the sellers and led on the deal. He said:
“Absolutely delighted to have supported David and Chris on this transaction and to have achieved a successful closing for them in short order. I wish them both the very best for their next chapter and look forward to seeing BSL supported by Trusta going from strength to strength.
Danos added:
“This was a real team effort from us here at DMH to pull all of the various work streams together to achieve a successful result for David and Chris in an expeditious timeframe. Chris and Beth worked tirelessly along with other specialists at DMH and, once again, demonstrated the breadth, depth and experience of the DMH corporate team in Sussex to project manage and support complex M&A transactions.”
BSL will continue to operate out of its current location and under its current leadership team, ensuring continuity for customers, employees, and partners.
Chris Gleeson, a Corporate Partner at DMH Stallard said:
“We are delighted to have advised David and Chris on this important transaction, delivering a great outcome for them and the business. This deal reflects the quality of BSL and the value it brings to the market. It was a pleasure to work closely with Kreston Reeves throughout the process, and this successful result demonstrates the strength of our collaborative approach. We look forward to seeing the continued success of BSL and Trusta, along with Trusta’s future ventures.”
The transaction completed on 16 July 2025.
David Blanchard, Managing Director of BLS commented:
“’We were surprised how complex these transactions are but were all equally amazed at the ability of the DMH team, most notably Chris, Beth, and Danos to help us to understand the language and more importantly the implications of every word and sentence we were reading. The advice on what is reasonable and what is not reasonable for us was invaluable as like most people, this was the first time we had been involved with a transaction like this. The attention to detail was exceptional. And where we needed specialist help in associated areas, DMH had that available to us too. All in all, we were delighted to have worked with DMH on our transaction and pleased with the outcome and speed of the process. We know there were many long evenings for the DMH team but we were always presented with calm and friendly faces and guidance throughout.”
The DMH Stallard team included Danos Athanasi, Chris Gleeson, Beth Obara, William Walsh and Nitzan Cohen.
