DMH Stallard advises on strategic acquisition of Rapidcare

DMH Stallard has advised the shareholders of The Koppa Company Limited (trading as Rapidcare) on its acquisition by Danish medical technology group Qufora.

This highly significant deal reflects the strength of Rapidcare’s pre-existing partnership with Qufora, which has spanned several years through the successful delivery by Rapidcare of the Qufora Direct service.

Rapidcare, a UK Dispensing Appliance Contractor (DAC), is well known for its specialist expertise in fulfilling and delivering prescriptions for medical devices, medicines and related services, supporting a wide range of chronic healthcare needs. With headquarters in Crawley, West Sussex, the acquisition will enable Rapidcare to further enhance its service offering and continue its commitment to improving patient care across the UK.

Julia Constable, owner at Rapidcare said:

“This marks an exciting new chapter for Rapidcare and I’m grateful to the DMH Stallard team for their support and expert guidance throughout the process. While we have a longstanding partnership with Qufora, by joining forces more formally we can build on our strengths and continue delivering the high-quality, compassionate care our patients expect and deserve.”

DMH Stallard’s corporate team, led by Justine Tocher and Emma Boorman, advised the Rapidcare shareholders. They were supported by Kay Miles, Rebecca Leeves, Greg Burgess, Tom Trowbridge and Nitzan Cohen. Corporate finance services were provided by Michael Pay of EMC Corporate Finance and tax/financial advice was provided by Sarah Ediss of Kreston Reeves. Addleshaw Goddard LLP acted for Qufora.

Justine Tocher, Corporate Partner at DMH Stallard, said:

“For many years Rapidcare has played a key role in the UK health sector and in the lives of the clients they serve. The acquisition by Qufora not only reflects the strength of Rapidcare’s market position, but also its unwavering commitment to patient care and innovation. We’re delighted to have supported the family owners of Rapidcare through this milestone transaction, which paves the way for Rapidcare’s continued growth and enhanced patient outcomes.”
