The transaction marks Sequana’s first acquisition outside Australia and supports its strategic expansion into the UK market.
Founded in 2020 and based in Rochester, Kent, INFRACO has built a strong reputation for its work supporting major infrastructure programmes, including Thames Tideway, Lower Thames Crossing, HS2 and East West Rail. Under the deal, INFRACO will continue to operate under its own name as a Sequana company for at least 12 months.
DMH Stallard acted for the five shareholder sellers throughout the transaction. The deal was led by Emma Boorman, Partner in the firm’s corporate team, supported by Kate Partridge, Amber Monaghan and William Walsh.
Emma Boorman said:
This transaction represents an important milestone for the shareholders and for INFRACO as it enters its next phase of growth. It was a pleasure to work with the shareholders throughout the process and help deliver an outcome that supports their objectives while creating exciting opportunities for the business as part of Sequana. We wish both teams every success for the future.
As a combined business, Sequana and INFRACO are ideally positioned to help deliver the next wave of significant water and infrastructure projects across the UK.
Ian Simmonds, one of the selling shareholders of INFRACO said:
DMH Stallard brought expertise, reassurance and a truly collaborative approach to a complex commercial transaction. From start to finish, we felt that we had a team who understood our priorities and represented our interests with care and determination.
Having worked with many commercial lawyers over the years, I particularly valued Emma’s willingness to listen and understand our needs. She was consistently available, supportive and determined to achieve the best outcome for us. I am deeply grateful for her advice and dedication and would have no hesitation in recommending Emma and the team.
