The 2021 Budget on 3 March will be the first budget to take place since the start of the pandemic. The Treasury has already announced that “the Budget will set out the next phase of the plan to tackle the virus and protect jobs”. We will be reviewing how the Budget decisions, including possible furlough alternatives, funding for skills programmes and further business funding support, will impact on your future people strategy. April will then see the introduction of the changes to IR35, postponed from last year. We will give a further overview and update on the new laws, as a useful reminder to those who paused their preparations in 2020 and as guidance to businesses who now fall within scope for the first time.
