DMH Stallard has made a partner hire in its London private client practice.
Ingrid McCleave joins DMH Stallard’s private client team from Wellers Law Group where she was head of the wealth department.
Ingrid specialises in advising high net worth business owners and families, developing strategies to save tax for themselves and future generations. She is highly regarded for her expertise in utilising wills, trusts, companies and partnerships to reduce liabilities and implement effective succession planning.
Lorna Fairbairn, Head of Private Client at DMH Stallard, said:
“Ingrid’s skills and experience are second to none in the field of taxation and trust law, so it’s no surprise that she is in such high demand for speaking engagements on these subjects.
Whether advising high net worth individuals or multinationals, her ability to bring such great knowledge, authority and clarity to the most complex matters is valued highly by her clients.”
Ingrid is both a solicitor and a barrister and regularly advises clients on capital gains mitigation, stamp duty land tax mitigation and the incorporation of businesses, including large property portfolios owned in sole or joint names, mitigating both SDLT and CGT. She has also advised clients with a domicile of choice abroad - and a domicile of origin in the UK - on escaping the UK IHT net using offshore trusts to hold their UK assets, while they continue to be domiciled abroad.
Ingrid said:
“This is a very exciting time for me to join DMH Stallard’s city office.
The firm’s reputation for first class advice and dynamic growth continues, so I’m obviously looking forward to working with such an accomplished team of lawyers.”
