Kate Doody advises on corporate matters, including sales and acquisitions, in a variety of sectors with particular experience in advising other professional practices.

Kate is a Partner in our Guildford office and has a vast range of experience advising owner-managed businesses on corporate matters, including sales and acquisitions, shareholders’ agreements, management buy-outs and buy-ins, and investment rounds.

Kate has particular experience in advising other professional practices, including accountants and solicitors, on sales and acquisitions.  She is known for her pragmatism, commercial focus and calm approach, as well as her strong technical ability. She enjoys working collaboratively with other lawyers and advisers to achieve the best outcome possible for her clients.

She is highly regarded by clients and colleagues alike and was named Corporate Lawyer of the Year at the South-East Insider Deal Maker awards in 2026.
