The merger is described by St Barnabas as a move that ‘aims to create a stronger, more sustainable and comprehensive hospice care organisation that is committed to delivering outstanding patient care’.
The merger creates one of the biggest groups in the hospice sector and in an increasingly complex world of care support and health commissioning, provides greater sustainability for both organisations and the people they care for.
DMH Stallard and Girlings advised St Barnabas on the merger with Martlets.
Consultant Solicitor Caroline Armitage, Head of Charities at Girlings Solicitors and an expert in Third Sector mergers and acquisitions, advised St Barnabas throughout the merger, with Jonathan Grant, Head of Corporate at DMH Stallard, supported by Ben Price (property) and Simon Bellm (employment).
