Kate Partridge and Emma Boorman both qualified at Eversheds, before career moves that saw Kate join city firm Berwin Leighton Paisner, followed by US investment bank Bear Stearns. Emma moved from Eversheds to DLA Piper, then became legal counsel and an investment director at (mid-market PE house) Barclays Ventures, before joining (international PE house) CVC Capital Partners.
Kate went on to become one of the founders of a female led legal consultancy business called ‘Illume’, where she reunited with Emma, before both decided to join DMH Stallard.
Jonathan Grant, Head of Corporate at DMH Stallard, said:
“We have a strong female team within DMH Stallard, which encouraged Kate and Emma to join us. We expect to see steadily increasing demand from female led businesses over the next few years, and Kate and Emma are great lawyers, with impressive client followings.
“This is the first time as a traditional law firm we have been able to attract lawyers from a self-employed consultancy business. Over recent years the move has been the other way, but our values and flexible working environment, combined with a strong team of junior lawyers was compelling for Kate and Emma.”
Kate said:
“DMH Stallard puts client experience at the forefront of its strategy. Its commitment to a supportive and flexible working environment is very impressive, as is its corporate team. DMH Stallard provides me with an opportunity to work for clients in London and on the south coast with the backing of a full-service law firm. An exciting prospect!”
Emma said:
“The expansion of DMH Stallard across all practice areas over the last ten years reflects an absolute focus on providing clients with the highest quality advice and support available in the market. This reputation, allied to a progressive culture, is why I’m delighted to be joining DMH Stallard in London.”
