Lauren is a specialist in Family Law matters including divorce, finance upon separation, child arrangements, pre and post nuptial agreements and injunctions.

Lauren has been specialising in Family Law since the start of 2021, but has many more years experience in the legal sector

Lauren’s expertise also includes divorce with an international aspect, separation agreements, domestic violence cases where injunctions are necessary, the enforcement of orders and TOLATA matters. Lauren’s priority is to achieve the best possible results for her clients, whilst breaking down the legal jargon to provide clear, concise advice.

Lauren is a member of Resolution. Resolution members are committed to a code of practice which involves “promoting a constructive approach to family issues that considers the needs of the whole family.” Lauren is an advocate for resolving matters for her clients both swiftly and amicably, where at all possible.

Work highlights

SEPARATION AGREEMENT

Negotiated terms of a separation agreement in order to protect the wife’s position, remaining in the family home until the youngest child reaches 18 or ceases full time education.


OVERSEAS DIVORCE

Successfully applied to the court under Part III of the Matrimonial and Family Proceedings Act 1984 for financial relief following an overseas divorce.


HARASSMENT

Successfully obtaining a Protection from Harassment Act injunction against two defendants, with a costs order in favour of the claimant in excess of £45,000.


CHILD ARRANGEMENTS

Advising father in acrimonious discussions regarding child arrangements, resulting in proceedings involving the mother applying to the court to relocate to the US with the children, whilst father resides in the UK.


CHANGE OF RESIDENCE

Progressing a matter to a three day final hearing in a children matter, namely a change of residence application.


PRE-NUPTIAL AGREEMENT

Advised and prepared pre-nuptial agreements for parties wishing to protect any pre-acquired property and pensions upon divorce.
