What they say
"[Richard] is very commercially astute, doesn't argue points unnecessarily and helps you get deals done."
Client quote, Chambers & Partners
As Managing Partner of DMH Stallard, Richard is responsible for leading the firm as it continues to grow. His close and careful operational management of the firm ensures its continued success, but Richard’s focus on the firm’s clients and their needs, is the key driver for the firm’s achievements.
Richard is, first and foremost, a businessman who knows the value of long term client relationships and the positive impact of great communication.
Richard is an advocate of sharing best practice with clients and their professional advisers. He knows that by doing this our lawyers gain invaluable understanding of clients' operational goals, and by becoming a seamless part of their wider support team, we positively impact on their own success.
A strong advocate of the smart use of technology, Richard was instrumental in the development of DMH Stallard’s award winning technology platform DMH Direct, which allows clients to provide instructions to our lawyers online together with real time tracking of progress.
Richard joined DMH Stallard as a trainee back in 1990, and has been a member of the Management Team for fourteen years (as Head of Private Client and then real estate) before being appointed as Managing Partner in 2014.
During his tenure as Managing Partner, the firm has successfully completed two mergers in 2015; Firstly with Guildford based firm, AWB Partnership and more recently London based firm, Ross and Craig. Both deals have strengthened the firm’s presence in Surrey and London respectively as well as significantly increasing the firm’s turnover.
During his time in the real estate department, Richard worked closely with some of the firms largest real estate clients, including UK Power Networks, Crest Nicholson and Liverpool Victoria.
