DMH Stallard strengthens employment team with partner hire, Doreen Reeves

Leading South East law firm DMH Stallard has strengthened its employment practice with the appointment of Partner Doreen Reeves, who joined the firm on Monday, 13 April and will be based in the firm’s London office.

Reeves is a prominent employment and discrimination lawyer trusted by senior executives and employees to handle sensitive, complex and high-stakes workplace disputes. With more than 20 years’ experience in employment law, she brings a breadth of expertise gained across trade unions, government, and leading private practice roles.

Reeves has acted in landmark employment cases, including the notable Alison Irwin v Experian Ltd decision, which concluded that menopause could qualify as a disability under the Equality Act 2010. She has also acted in cases supported by the Equality and Human Rights Commission.

She specialises in discrimination, whistleblowing and unfair dismissal claims, and regularly advises on negotiated exits and reputation management in sensitive workplace situations. She advises clients across sectors, including financial services, professional services, and both the public and private sectors.

Her work has garnered national media attention, and she has appeared on BBC News and Sky News, discussing employment law issues covered in the national press.

Reeves is ranked in both The Legal 500 UK and Chambers and Partners and is recognised for her expertise in complex employment disputes. She is also a member of The Law Society Employment Law Committee.

I am delighted to be joining DMH Stallard and becoming part of such a highly respected and ambitious firm,” says Reeves. “The strength of the employment team and the firm’s commitment to delivering exceptional client service make this an exciting opportunity. I look forward to working with colleagues across the firm and continuing to support clients through complex and high-stakes workplace matters.

Rustom Tata, Partner and Head of Employment at DMH Stallard, said:

“We are very pleased to welcome Doreen to the firm. As workplace disputes and discrimination claims become increasingly complex, her deep expertise in high-stakes employment litigation and senior executive matters will be invaluable to our clients. Her appointment further strengthens our employment practice as we continue to support businesses and individuals navigating an evolving employment law landscape.”
