DMH Stallard’s corporate team has advised international healthcare agency, Makara Health, on its acquisition by US based Precision Value & Health.
The move will expand Precision’s European footprint and reinforce the company’s market growth position with its core capabilities in Europe.
Led by Helen Mead, the DMH Stallard team provided legal advice on the deal that will see Makara Health integrated into Precision and work closely with Precisionscientia, a communications arm within the company.
Founded by Louise Sharp in 2013, Makara Health employs 80 staff and has headquarters in Salisbury in Wiltshire.
Helen Mead said:
“Louise has built a business that in a relatively short time has become a leader in healthcare communications and in Precision Value & Health, Makara Health has found a company that mirrors the same high values that are embedded in its own ethos.”
Specialising in brand and promotion, learning and development, medical education, PR and communications and patient education, Makara Health has established a reputation in the pharma sector for highly strategic communications, allied to scientific insight and thinking.
Louise Sharp, Founder and CEO of Makara Health, said:
“In considering this move, it was very important for us to align with the right company – one that shared our values and would ensure that Makara would continue to offer clients fresh and robust thinking from an experienced and talented team.
“We are excited to say that we have found this with Precision Value & Health, a company that shares our approach and our belief in the scientific story as the foundation of every pharmaceutical brand.”
