Corporate Law

Our expertise

What our corporate lawyers do

DMH Stallard’s award-winning corporate lawyers can support you across the full range of corporate and equity requirements, whether you are an entrepreneurial start-up, fast-growth company or a large company in the UK or abroad.

While we routinely support large and complex transactions, our clients are typically entrepreneurial in style, preferring a responsive focussed corporate legal team who can deliver deals, and add resource where needed.  Our clients range from directors of larger companies, managers of investment funds, those running complex capital market projects, AIM or smaller quoted companies, through to family businesses and professional practices.

Rather than their size, what defines our clients is their requirement for a high level of partner involvement, a willingness to be commercial and practical, and service delivery through small focussed corporate teams spread across the South East and in London.

DMH Stallard’s corporate solicitors advise public and private companies and other organisations on the full range of corporate transactions, structure and governance.

"DMH has the breadth of experience I require to cover all my business needs. They provide excellent service levels."

How our corporate lawyers work

Get the structure right: Our corporate law service is structured to respond to your size, requirements and specific business objectives, but always with a high level of partner involvement.

Recognise the value of long term relationships: We enjoy strong relationships with professionals in related fields including corporate finance advisers, brokers, accountants, nominated advisors/sponsors.  Our corporate lawyers work alongside you to deliver effective commercial outcomes at a price which fits the deal.

Setting up a corporate service for entrepreneurs and family businesses: For entrepreneurial and family businesses, our corporate solicitors help raise finance, negotiate commercial agreements/joint ventures, and manage the introduction/exit of shareholders and executives. We also help businesses plan for succession, and tools which identifying the value drivers within a business, to maximise value (whether the plan is to hold or sell).

Delivering extra value through experience: We give you the benefit of our broad deal experience, acting as a guide and support as companies grow and develop.

Depth of corporate support teams is key: Being able to call on a wide range of expert legal support teams within the firm is crucial for you, whether in property and planning, employment, or technology. Without this clients can find themselves on the defensive, or unable to keep up with the demands of bigger more experienced businesses.

When these specific issues arise on a deal, the corporate lawyer’s job is to help you understand the impact and together agree a negotiating strategy.

What they say

"The DMHS team have excellent knowledge of the client’s business and a really strong trusted adviser relationship with the client. They have a friendly and commercial approach on the client side."
