How our chartered planners work

We work closely with our clients on their projects and offer the complete planning service.

We are different to other planning consultancies as we can draw on ‘in-house’ support from DMH Stallard’s large team of specialist planning and environmental lawyers.

As such we can offer a genuine and integrated ‘one stop shop’ for clients, from scheme conception to completion including preparation of all necessary legal agreements, and on matters such as enforcement where value is added through the input of our legal team.

How we've helped

DMH Stallard has advised the University of Sussex on a number of successful expansion projects. We successfully enlarged the boundaries of the university and then persuaded Brighton & Hove City Council to include a new policy which places a presumption in favour of university developments. We gained planning permission for two substantial three-storey blocks providing residential accommodation for 250 students  and for a three-storey medical school which is linked to other medical facilities being developed on the University of Brighton campus and the Royal Sussex County Hospital. We also secured planning permission for 798 units of student accommodation at the northern extremity of the campus.
