DMH Stallard’s corporate finance team acted for the owners of HFS Milbourne, on their sale of the business to Tilney Smith & Williamson, providing legal advice on the terms and structuring of the transaction throughout.
HFS Milbourne, one of the leading financial and investment advisory firms in Surrey, was created by the merger of Milbourne Financial Services and Hayden Financial Services in 2005; joint Managing Directors Rod Milne and Colin Hayden-Cook had decades’ of financial service experience between them even before joining forces.
DMH Stallard’s Corporate partner Kate Norgett led the team advising the vendors. Kate commented: “We have known Rod, Colin and the team for a long time and it was a pleasure to work with them on this transaction. Finding the right home for HFS Milbourne’s valued clients and staff was very important to Rod and Colin and I am confident that they have achieved this. The Tilney Smith & Williamson team were very nice to deal with and I’m sure the combined businesses will continue to go from strength to strength in Surrey.”
Joint Managing Director Rod Milne commented: “We are proud of what we have built at HFS Milbourne and are looking forward to continuing to grow the business and support our clients as part of the Tilney Smith & Williamson team in Surrey. In Kate, we found someone who shares our passion for providing the very best client service at all times. We are so pleased that we chose Kate and DMH Stallard to assist us with this very important transaction.”
